Food
I am available to teach/lecture on the following topics:
Traditional Foods for Urban Families. An overview of what “traditional food” means from a Nourishing Traditions standpoint. How to find ways to incorporate nutrient dense foods into your busy schedule. Food preparation such as sprouting, soaking grains, and lacto-fermentation are discussed, among other things.
Lacto-Fermentation for Everyone. Basic concepts about lacto-fermentation as enhancing gut health and a form of food presentation are discussed. Topic can be organized as either a simple lecture or a hands-on demonstration.
Food Preservation Overview. Various kinds of food preservation are discussed, from very low-tech to more involved methods. Topic can be organized as either a simple lecture or a hands-on demonstration.
Music
I possess a doctorate in music from SUNY Stony Brook, where my emphasis as a harpsichordist was primarily in early music and historical performance. I am available to teach/lecture on the following:
Private Harpsichord Lessons. I have taught private harpsichord students on and off for the past 15 years. I am also happy to teach harpsichord to pianists.
Historical and Theoretical Topics. My expertise is on historical topics from the 17th and 18th centuries. Fundamentals of Music is another favorite subject to teach.
Chamber Music. I am an excellent chamber music coach, and enjoy coaching all sorts of ensembles. I have taught children, adults, and adult amateurs.
